About Lainey
Lainey started her massage journey in 2012 when she began attending the National Holistic Institute in San Jose, California. It was there that she received her first taste of how enthralling it is to work in the world of massage and bodywork. Learning the foundations of massage techniques and how they relate to anatomy and kinesiology, she quickly discovered how effective and therapeutic this work could be in resolving chronic pain and muscle dysfunction. Shortly after graduation she enrolled in the institute’s Advanced Neuromuscular Program where she honed her practice and introduced new techniques such as trigger point and myofascial therapy. Upon graduation Lainey received the title Advanced Neuromuscular Therapist (ANMT). Lainey began her career in both spa and wellness center environments, building her experience in both fields and adapting her skills to fit what benefitted her clients.
In 2015, Lainey moved to Portland, Oregon, bringing the gift of Neuromuscular Therapy to the Pacific Northwest. There, she secured a position in a wellness center specifically working with clients in recovery from auto-accidents and other acute traumas and injury. In collaboration with an in-house chiropractor and several acupuncturists, Lainey found great joy in working through complicated recovery strategies and ensuring the well-being of her clients. After a wonderful three years in Oregon, Lainey and her partner moved to Addison, Vermont to reunite with her partner’s family, eventually moving to Burlington, and then Middlebury to serve the great community of Vermont.
